DIY Modern Artwork

You don't need to spend a lot of money on artwork, nor do you need to be a professional artist to create your own custom art piece. I created this one for 20 euros and it turned out looking like a high-end piece. All you need is a good idea, a canvas and some paint and brushes.
Let's Have a Look

Adding artwork to the wall is my favourite way to bring life into a room and elevate its aesthetic. However, large art pieces can be quite expensive if you're looking to buy high-quality ones online or in-store. My best advice is to create your own. The story behind this 20€ artwork goes like this:

I found an old wooden artwork with an attached frame at a thrift shop for only 12€. I already had a vision and I knew this size would be perfect for my living room. I bought that and some texture paste (strukturpaste in German) for 8€. I covered the base of the old artwork with the white paste for a base. If you are looking to create something similar, you can also just use white paint since there is not much visible texture. I painted the frame black which I already had handy from old projects.

I let the paste dry overnight before I went over with a large paint brush and created the black strokes with the same black paint that I used for the frame. Once that was dry, I nailed a few nails on the wall and hung it up and that was it!
