I knew for sure that I wanted crisp white hotel like bedding for the winter and high contrast cushion covers. My goal was to find high-quality long lasting bedding without having to spend a lot of money. Whenever I am on this journey, especially when textiles are involved, I always spend time first doing research on the best materials out there for that particular product. For bedding, you obviously want something that feels good on the skin and provides the best quality sleep.
From my research, I learned that long-staple Egyptian cotton is one of the best materials for luxury bedding but it also comes with a high price tag ranging over 300€.
Honestly, in the future, I wouldn't mind splurging on true luxury bedding but for now, I found affordable alternatives that I am very happy with! I was able to get everything for less than 100€! On my bed (160x200cm), apart from a fitted sheet, I have 2 duvet covers of the size 135x200cm, 2 chilling pillows 75x50cm, 2 sleeping pillows 40x80cm, 2 cushion covers 50x50cm (inlets are 60x60cm), and a bedspread quilt of the size 240x260cm.
